THANK YOU for shopping at Abbey Centre and helping us do good for our community. We are so proud of our achievements throughout 2024 and we are planning BIG things for 2025.
This year we won a SCEPTRE Community Initiative Award for our Lifesaving Skills Roadshow, with Staff Training NI, visiting 20 post-primary schools in our neighbourhood and teaching 343 students and teachers CPR, AED Defib, Choking and Epipen skills.
We were thrilled to learn that all schools in NI will soon receive a defibrillator, and hope our initiative helped spark this amazing development.
Abbey Centre invested over £17,000 supporting community initiatives and worthwhile causes in 2024. We continued to support Young Enterprise NI, Ballyclare Comrades, Antrim Rovers and Carrickfergus Junior Darts.
Abbey Centre hosted 21 groups and charities on the mall, providing a safe environment in which to fundraise. Local junior football teams featured prominently each weekend!
We facilitated 21 groups and organisations on the mall, providing information about their service or cause. NICHS Heart Month was a firm favourite!
£2,376.72 was collected from our money spinners on the mall, benefitting N/Abbey Foodbank and NSPCC NI. Thank you for spinning and donating to these worthwhile causes.
